Waterfront Toronto Condos

Condominium prices experienced unprecedented increase in 2007, surpassing gains in the single-detached category for the first time in Toronto. Despite an approximate 20% increase, the condominium lifestyle allows
purchasers to live in the GTA’s most coveted communities at a fraction of the price of a single-detached
home. Condominiums now outsell single-detached homes two to one in the central core.

This trend is particularly true of waterfront Toronto condos. The low inventory has been pushing prices upward for the past decade. However, the city's new waterfront condos, priced at $410 to $412 per square foot, still represent a bargain when compared to other large cities in North America. A comparable unit in a similar location would run you $600 per square foot in Chicago, $1,000 in Manhattan and $700 in Boston. And unlike other major cities, Toronto's waterfront is not the most expensive area in the city. That honour goes to the Yorkville neighbourhood.
